Mission Statement
The mission of The Media Center is to assist faculty and staff in the advancement of knowledge through the use of technology and to make available such technological tools that serve to promote the mission of the college.

What does The Media Center provide?
The Media Center provides academic support and instructional resources.
Who can use The Media Center?
The Media Center offers faculty and staff the ability to introduce technology into traditional curriculum. Graphic design, digital media, and web design software are just a few of the tools available to assist faculty.
What are the costs?
Most services are free of charge to MCC/UH faculty and staff.
What about faculty development and training?
We provide the faculty opportunities to integrate instructional technology tools and practices into teaching and learning including:
  1. Instructional sessions to develop skills in specific technologies
  2. Instructional sessions to assist faculty and staff with implementing technology
  3. Instructional sessions with discipline specific technology for faculty and campus groups    
Do you offer consultation services?
Individual staff members will work with faculty to offer technology support by recommending appropriate solutions for teaching and learning. You may arrange a session with any staff member
in the appropriate technology of interest.
What kinds of technology services can I access?
We offer services and tools to support instruction including:
  1. Distributed Learning technology for live interactive classes or teleconferences
  2. Materials for creating course content, web-content and other web-related tools
  3. Technology to support classroom instruction
  4. Duplication and printing services
  5. Access to PC & Mac workstations
  6. Video and audio production services including video streaming services
How do I get help?
Staff members may be available for walk-in assistance during regular hours. Plan to meet with staff ahead of time if you have a large project. You can set up an appointment by contacting the appropriate staff member for services required. Those working on instructional technology projects are encouraged to use equipment without assistance during our regular hours. If you know in advance that you will require help, we recommend you call for an appointment.
How do I take advantage of what The Media Center offers?
Simply come to the center on the second floor of The Ka’a’ike Building (203/205) or call 984-3621.
How do I get equipment for my classroom?
Please call 984-3618 for classroom equipment needs, or visit AV INFO for reservations. The Media Center has a 72 hour advance reservation policy to assure equipment availability.
How do I get equipment repaired?
Please call 984-3618 for equipment repair or visit AV INFO.
What are your hours of operation?
8:00 AM to 4:00 PM Monday Thru Friday.
